Good day allI have
Introducing myself but could not find how to do itSo I am in north Wales on my third Vito
Bought this one as an mot failure on some easy jobs been standing for three months

Done the mot work ,I had to snap off abs sensor to take front hub off to dismantle the wishbone off
Cleaned out hub for new sensor(eBay)
My problem is after putting back together is after driving 50 mtrs ,abs and traction lights come on,two second after brake warning light stop engine, same thing again ,I have replaced ABS pump with same Bosch and Mercedes numbers,
Cannot bleed brakes ,correctly, with are intermittent
My important question if someone can help is. Does the pump need to be programmed?
Thanks in advanceandy

Was it a genuine Mercedes sensor you fitted?
Quite a few decent diagnostic systems will read the wheel speeds. Sounds like you have at least 1 giving duff info

Is it right then presuming the old abs sensor on the left is original that only the front right has to be a genuine Mercedes sensor,
And I could put aftermarket on other wheels?

Hi all again,
I am wondering if someone could shed some light on the issue I have with abs light /traction light/brake warning and no speedo.
I have busted original abs sensor taking the old hub for taking a ball joint of
Put an aftermarket abs on then probs with abs pump (blockage)
Then was advised on here to put original abs on (front right)
Question is I can get one from eurocarparts locally for £62 collect tomorrow ,
This is Bosch.
Would anyone know if this would be the correct one?
Have been told by eurocarparts it is OEMthanks in advance. AAR

I ordered mine from Mercedes in Birmingham so not sure if the Bosch one would be oem but it cured all the faults that you list above.

There is a chap on youtube; Diagnose Dan. Is early videos are very good. In one of them he compares the output of a genuine and aftermarket sensor (MAF, perhaps, cant fully remember) and shows although they both work, the outputs given to the vehicles are very different and this will result in different levels of vehicle performance. Its worth a look.

Perhaps ABS sensors suffer a similar problem.
