Mercedes vito ignition problems

Hi I have a Mercedes vito sport x 204 and when I put the key in ignition it doesn't energize to turn, does anyone know what the problem could be??

Mine does that sometimes. I was thinking it might be a battery in the key. If you find out can you post a reply to this message.

I needed a whole new ignition barrel soldered onto my ignition circuit board, mine was all bunged up with s!#+ tbh,
Hope this help mate I paid £400 in emergency

He did take off my steering lock aswell as key never energies but starts and turns , maybe try that first silver long thing

Hi, I have got the same van as you mostly working fine apart from a dodgy reverse gear selector. I am about to scrap my van as I will get £5k from the local government . It has got loads of good parts on it and seems such a waste. I am trying to find other vito owners who want parts for their van. Let me know if there is anything you want but hurry as my van will be crushed in a few weeks.
