Mercedes W114 280CE 1973

Hello. I'm looking for help or advice on where I can source an engine for this vehicle. The engine is seized and will not shift. The engine number is 110.981
The car has sat for a number of years and needs to get back on the road where it belongs. It's a gorgeous coupe.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi & welcome.
Dronsfields are a well known Merc breaker but probably won't have anything that old. Worth trying though.
Failing this it might be an idea to have a word with a good Merc independent who may be able to point you in the right direction.

If you can find a rusty coupe or saloon 115 the 2.8 is used in some of them. Good luck, lovely car the 280 coupe's. I have restored 2, a 220 W111 and w114 230ce

By seized, is it terminal i.e. is something broken or cracked? Is it feasible to rebuild the engine over replacing?
