Hi, i have a 2004 new shape c class and the rear drivers side parking lamp has gone out. I purchased a bulb and when i tried to remove the burned bulb it would not come out. I followed the instructions in the manual but the bulb does not move at all. Should i force it and if so would it damage the bulb holder. Thanks

Squirt some WD40, leave 10 mins. the bulb needs to go down before you can turn it to with draw it. If the glass breaks you can withdraw it with thin nose plies. Push in and turn,is the way to go.

As long as the lamp is the correct wattage it should go out.

when you say will not go in,will it go into the holder at all,or is it it will not turn.

the bulb goes into the holder but does not turn.

this could because the center pin is stuck, its spring loaded,if its stuck ,what happens is the you cant get the bulb in far enough to enable it to turn, squirt a little WD40 into it and try to get the pin to push up and down.

Do not push so hard as to jam the pin down, otherwise the lamp will not light.

With twin fillerment bulbs the pins are set so that the lamp will only go in one way (stop and tail bulbs)

Beware here,1) the MB bulbs have off set pins & you can easily mistake them for the bulbs that fit most cars, 2) the rear number plate bulbs suffer very badly from bad contacts, switch all lights off, remove key & clean contacts, once you refit any bulb you need to reset the system (by removing key and inserting again) otherwise the bulb will still not work.
