mercedes W203 Diesel 2003 Auto box

My C class has just reached 495000 Km. Yes In australia we have long distances between places...engine had a blocked manifold went into limp modeabout 480K.
Its time for an overhaul to reach the full million. Better to recycle than keep buying stuff for the scrap heap.
Engines good now after new manifold. about 6 house on and off,
autobox has done well but has a slight grab and some strange noises when the Oil is cold. Still shifts well, although tends to go the higher like 4th. gears when driving slow 60 km and a few shudders. Wondered about getting the conductor late changed cause I dont have to pull out the whole box.U tube has some good video about this,
Seems not an expensive OEM Item and just use same solenoids. Box was much better after an old change etc. and it has the correct flevel when warm

NO experience at all if its might assist in prolonging its life.. any ideas and advice.?? Otherwise I need a low km box from somewhere 722699-0
Any recommendations where to buy ?

Nice mileage there.
If everything else in the box is OK then an electroplate could be all it needs. Have you checked the electrical connector (pilot bushing)?

Having mine done this month and it only has 90k miles. I think when I had the fluid changed a few years ago it was the first time although it had been dealer serviced all its life.

Checked your gearbox mounts.
Great mileage (km) so you are keeping on top of the car. Kudos!
