Hello all, I am new to site and have a question to ask. I have a c-class 2002 w203, a couple of months ago i started to get a quite annoying noise coming from the front of the car. I have noticed that the noise only comes when i have been driving for about an hour non-stop. My mechanic told me that it was the anti-roll bar links, these were changed two days ago. I have been driving the car today and have found that the noise is still there. Can anyone please help.

Not expensive and very easy to do, make sure you get the modified parts, ask at mb they will give you wot you need.

Also get your mechanic to check the condition of the bar itself, if worn then replace that to.

Mine went at 29000 so yours has done quite well, make sure you get the updated bushes

Hello from spain
Read with interest "shaksq1". I had a similar problem on my 2001 c270cdi 98000 km. Took it to the official mb service centre here in Madrid. They changed the bars and bushes and charged 1800 euros. Seemed VERY expensive. What did your repairs come to?

Is this a problem on pre-facelift W203's only? I have a 2004 facelifted W203 that has now covered about 47,000 miles and I was wondering whether I should be wary of this happening to my car. Or was this "problem" cured during the facelift update?
Thanks in advance............

Recently read on this forum, (other thread) "advice on e270 cdi"
Suspension arms were under a warranty/recall. Does anyone know if this has any validity?
For what year? and
what models?

This was for lower ball joints on some e-class 211 only,

They changed the design when facelifted and it is much better.

Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated.
Not only that, but good news as well...............:)

Is there a full list of modifications available anywhere made on the W203 when MB did the facelifted revision in 2004?
I know a few of the easy-to-spot ones like the dash and the headlamps, but I would bet there must be a whole lot more less obvious ones - like for example this antiroll bar modification.
It would be nice to know whether the price premium is justified between the models.
Thanks in advance.................
