Mercedes W204 C63 AMG Stage 1 remap!!!

This customer travelled over to us from the other side of the country. Customer got to us super early and had a good hour of cooling outside and in the cell before we started.

Customer was purely interested in Stage 1 software only as he still liked the way the OEM system sounded.

These W204s on our rollers never made stock power which is what I was expecting but this was down quite a bit, myself and the customer wasn't worried as the first 5 or 6 tests the cats actually got up to temp for once and cleared right out! The smell was considerable.

So after many sweep tests and steady state tests with multiple runs and tweaks we managed to find a whole bunch of power locked up and makes for quite the difference on the road.

Gaining an extra +89bhp and +71nm

That sounds impressive, but that is a very low pre map bhp figure?
With the map, it's only just above the figure MB quote for stock.

Most AMG's I've seen, produce stock figures or higher before mapping.
Why do you think this car had so much loss of power pre- remapping?

On our dyno we never see them make stock power the only dynos that show them as stock or high are American dynos
