Hello,
My car is showing the SRS light on the dash and STAR is showing the following fault:
'Fault in communication with component B48/1 (Driver - side frontal acceleration sensor) or there is a cable fault'
I understand this component is behind the radiator but having done a bit of digging online I am wondering if this component is the actual cause and wanted to check before replacing it.
The passenger seat occupancy sensor seems to have an intermittent fault where it occasionally triggers when empty, pressing on the seat pad usually resolves this. Could this be the root cause rather than the acceleration sensor?
