Hello all,

Am new to the site, I have a w211 Estate I'm retrofitting isofix points to, however can't seem to get the rear folding seats out to get full access to the isofix points.

Does anyone have a guide of how to remove the back seats so I don't end up dismantling the rear of the car?

Also another question has anyone put airmatic struts in the front?

Kind regards

Welcome,
Afraid I’m not sure about the rear seats but I think you are going to have to dismantle half the rear to get to the fixing points for the seats.
FYI model designation for the estates is an S, so you have an S211 rather than W211, might help when trying to search for things.
Re airmatic, I looked at it and I wouldn’t go down that route, essentially it’s a lot of parts and the cost is going to exceed the price of the car unfortunately

Welcome!

I don’t think the cost (which is considerable) or effort is worth it speaking from the experience of owning a fully airmatic S212

Hi all,

With regards airmatic was a thought as seen fairly good condition parts about fairly reasonable, but if comfort isn't much better may not bother, thanks.

Hi and welcome from another 211 estate owner.

Sorry, no help with the seats though.
