Mercedes W211 Full Underseal?

Hi All. Seeking advice on whether you think it would be money well spent to get the car underbody fully rust proofed and under sealed. I am not experiencing any issues and the underneath is fine for now but is this a good measure to take for the long term?

Anyone got this done and what sort of costs are involved?

If you plan to keep it for 5+ years then absolutely it's a good idea.

I'm not sure who, but there is a company (I believe maybe a forum sponsor?) that do a. Excellent job. Not cheap, but a complete job with prep etc.

I bet the rust buckets that are Land Rovers know about underbody sealing (I will not entertain any replies to the contrary @Blobcat )

On a completely unrelated note if anyone knows where I can get 4 new doors for a 110 I’d be very interested...

Back in the day when the k9's and land rovers were taking sea coal dust from the beaches of the North, alot of garages used " schutz " to good effect .

Probably not worth spending the money on a car that is worth less then 2k. The reality is that it is more likely to be scrapped because of an engine / gearbox / electrical fault than on underbody corrosion.....and if it is going to fail on underbody corrosion any time soon then it's already too late.

L.r a tractor that accidently ploughed thru a shed and got renamed ! A few bits of T&g, some old oil(no prob for shed owner ) and ur good to go .! Have they finally decided, metric ,unc,unf, whitworth yet ?many many yrs ago I used to do winter overhauls on L,R at a construction co in the uk. Frankly, dismantling was a gas axe affair...
