Mercedes wheel insurance

Don’t know if it’s been covered before but i have this when i bought the GLE in 17. Has anyone used it and are they any good as my 2 nearside ones need doing due to the usual kerb rash. I know they come out in a van to your house/work and in severe cases tell you to take them to a wheel place to go on a diamond cutting machine so do these just drill polish the rims. Luckily AP wheels are not far from me but when I had the E class 19 inch done was about £100 a wheel. These are 21s. And they had the car for about 3days. (Will have to take them to the chap off car S.O.S ) I’ll have them back in an hour

Sorry I'm finding your post a little difficult to follow.

I take it you have Mercedes-Benz Tyre and Alloy Insurance?

In which case do you not simply complete the on-line claim form here:-

"If the claim is covered by the policy, the claim will be passed to your selling Retailer who will contact you directly to arrange an appointment"

If you have the policy read it and use it. That’s what it is there for.

as you got the policy in 2017 are you sure it’s still active. I would be checking that first

Well I’ve checked the policy and it runs out in December this year. Can claim upto 5 new tyres through accidental damage. 10 wheel repairs and as many repairable punctures upto the value of 2.5k. If the wheel is unrepairable by the chap who comes out they will pay upto £150 per wheel at a diamond wheel repairers. The downside is you have to report the damage within 30 days. Will have to tell some porkies.
