This is a stupid non tech question, I find the glass on my SL a pig to get or keep clean. On my other cars I just wash and shampoo and the glass sparkles, but not with the SL, new leathers, glass cleaners and the like, when the sun comes out I have smears and smudges all over the place.

Thanks, I know this is a stupid thread, I did not have any meths as I had drunk it all. I did have some T spirit from Sweden and used that, don't know what it is, but in the sun today it sparkled like new.

if you are really carefull you can use petrol on the outside. but soak the cloth with it and rub it on. wear gloves and dont smoke at the time. and dont let it spill on your paintwork. but that will take all the grime off the windows, like meths does.

i am not responsible for people going up like a torch when you do this.

then give you car a good wash and use a dry soft cloth to polish your windows when they have dried.

autoglym window polish works, as do most car waxes, on all windows except ones that use wipers.
