Chaps, I am in the market for a W124 estate. I worked for Mercedes in Esslingen for 16 months as a placement student back in 1997. We had several test cars but the car i liked the most was the W124 E320. 10 years on i am now a married man with sprog number 2 on the way i fancy getting hold of my own 7 seat W124.
Fuel economy isn't a massive issue (8-9K miles/yr) but to stay on the right side of sane i'd rather a E280 than 320. I'd also like to get as new a car as possible...95 or 96 if possible. I've been a member of this forum for a few weeks so i have done all the relevant searches and reckon i am going into this with my eyes open
I had my eye on one recently but its just sold. Can you recommend any independant/specialist delears throughout the UK who can provide such a beastie or are at least likely to see one in the next few months? Location isn't really an issue as i am in Belfast so it will be an Easyjet and train trip to pick her up anyway.
