MG4 X Power is coming my way.

I've ordered an MG4 X Power in Volcano Orange.
The C207 has been a really great car in the 6 plus years I've had it. But it's just time for a change.
I fancy an EV and I've liked the X Power since I first saw it.
Might regret it, might not, we'll just have to wait and see.
But you ain't getting rid of me, as I really like this forum.

Hope you enjoy the MG Tony.
It will be a big change from a 6cylinder Mercedes, but I guess running costs much lower.
There comes a time when most of us decide to change cars, and although an EV isn't on the horizon for me, I do understand the appeal.

You won't be losing that one in a busy car park that's for sure

Yep, I will be reporting on the car, on the none MB thread. But I'll still be sticking my oar in, on other threads.

Will be interested to know how the cabin feels and holds up (as face it, thats our main touch point with any car) as they have apparently made improvements from early models.

Plastics, creaks, switch gear leather (?) etc

As for quite a few, the Chinese EV could be the only option for a day today car soon - if the news is to be believed.....

like it!, what kw battery do they have?, look into a ev home charging tarifff if you can as super chargers charge anything up to 75p per kw compaired to 14p at home , enjoy the car!.

As BYD have a 10% stake in MB as well as selling the ORA there are BYD showrooms popping up next to MB dealers. MB have lost 47% of EV sales in the U.S the biggest loss of any car maker. Look what’s happening to VW nearing the closer of 2 factories in Germany. The Chinese have got the EV market nailed. And MG are making cars that will sell. I’m sure you will enjoy.

Problem is Toyota are just cracking the Hydrogen nut, fast refill, cleaner and better range than EV and a combustion engine for sound, the Chinese may find themselves in trouble...

Just read BMW are bringing out a hydrogen model too.

The thing is Tech is moving on so fast I’ll stick with my petrol until it sorts itself out, as far hydrogen is concerned even with a viable technology the infrastructure has to catch up we’re looking at 10 years to make it universal
