MK1 sprinter owner saying hi and needing help with accelerator pedal

Hi everyone. Had my 1998 310D (MWB) converted camper for 3 years now and she's a dream to drive and maintain. Well except for the accelerator pedal. Anyone know how to get the housing that attaches to the cable to lock in to Place once fitted in the pedal. Can supply pics or part numbers if helpful. Despite this hassle, still the best thing I've ever done.

i take it you mean the plastic thing with the serrated teeth on it,it was a crap design the only way we used to do it was put a cable tie around the tab to hold it in place

Yes, that's exactly what I mean and exactly how I've dealt with too lol. Thank you, good to hear it is the design as I thought and not just me doing something wrong.
