250E 2016 Bluetec 651 Diesel
Hi Folks Newbie here! Been reading all the posts on the subject but now I am stuck.

Bought a 2016 Bluetec 250E in October 21, 69000Kms. Got EML after 60kms, seller told me to take it to Mercedes dealer and they would reimburse me, so far they have. Merc dealer #1 replaced front front NOx sensor. Went on holiday with it after 300 kms got EML and check ad blue. Went to a new Merc Dealer #2 as was 400kms away from home, showed the invoice for front NOx sensor that had been replaced and they did diagnostic and said it was the other rear one. Waited a week and they replaced it and did a "Program Command Module Coding (after quick test)" as well. 1500 kms later EML is on again, my 10$ OBD 2 shows code P2201 NOx Sensor.

So I have scouring this forum and have discovered that the emissions recall can/will cause NOx Sensor failures and that the sensors should both be replaced at the same time and reprogrammed, and only with the latest Mk3 sensors. I also did a VIN search and yes my car had the emissions recall done. (no Idea when not sure by who and if NOx sensors were replaced at that time...but doubt it) who knows?

The first workshop replaced the front with A0009053403 and the second workshop replaced the rear with A0009051412/80 this I took from the invoices.

So I looked up part numbers on https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes&language=en/ and it gives A0009053403 for both. I assume that these part numbers are the original Mk1 crap ones. So to cut a long story short it seems the first workshop replaced the front with Mk1 and the 2nd Workshop with Mk2 or Mk3, no idea.

I need to sort this out but need to know the MB part numbers for the Mk3 so I can make my case, can any one help with this or suggest where I can find them, I suspect that only MB service bulletins will have that, but want to go to them forearmed with the correct info.

Thanks in Advance.

Sorry for my first post being so long.

PS. I have done a write up step by step of chain, sprockets, oilers, guides, tensioner, replacement for an 87 SL560 if anyone needs it.

Thanks Botus your post #14 pretty much spells it out, how I am to get this and my problem across to Portuguese speaking mechanics I have no idea, maybe I should go straight to The European MB Head office with this. The MB website says that during the diesel update they should replace the NOx sensors "If" necessary which would mean the correct ones and a software update. I now have two different NOx sensors installed by my Portuguese MB "friends" who wouldn't have done this if they had read their bulletins, maybe that's their problem, "lost in translation", or just hopeless. I think Head Office should be the way to go, but how to word it................... I wish I could get the correct part numbers for the Mk3 NOx sensors, this would help prove part of my case....anyone?

Botus, on another note, but all connected I suppose, I read on various pages of this site, http://www.stephensservice.com/preventive-maintenance/ much about our problems, in particular this DPF Monitor thing stood out to me. My car does not have a DPF Monitor, so I have no idea about its status but worse I have no idea when the regeneration is happening. According to this site if you interrupt the regeneration 3 times in its typical 15-25 minute cycle then your car will shut down/limp mode, there are several types of interruption that can cause this shut down with EML. Simply stopping and parking up to go to the store and doing that again a couple of times within that Regeneration window. Regeneration cycle picks up again when the car is restarted in the hope you don't stop again or don't do the next two, Flooring the gas pedal counts as one. Having the low fuel level light come on also counts as one. No Idea if the start/stop function counts, yikes! What do you think?

Oh boy!

tesla model 3 performance /honda cd175/w123 300d gertrude.
well i can tell you my now sold e350 bluetec needed the newer nox sensors, old ones are q2 and revision is q3 , q3 is actually on the sensor so it would read zgs 002 q3 , ask any sellers to verify the q3 number on the sensor.

We are up to Q 06 already (at least) the mind boggles but still don't know which is the correct ones to fit in a pair and what software patches are needed and I suspect the two MB workshops that I have been to don't have a clue either that is why I have two different ones. What I need is the latest MB service bulletin on this issue any idea where I can source one? If it's obvious forgive my ignorance but I am new to modern cars and fairly new to MB.

Smart + others :)
Sometimes ordering the same part number off the part will not work.
Sometimes ordering from Mercedes’ part dept will result in the same incorrect part being ordered as the data card might need to be changed to get the right part numbers.
Either order the parts with the numbers off the star machine, update the data card if needed and update software.
