Yesterday whilst in the passenger i heard and felt something pop from underneath my car. It then made a funnny nois -like something was dragging underneath the car.

I called the rac - who said the crankshaft pulley rubber - had worn away .

i called mercs in purley way croydon - who said the part was £15 + vat But then they said it would cost £932 to fit inc vat . Wow - please tell if this is an average price - as ideally would like to get it done by a normal garage.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in croydon and surrounding areas of a GOOD garage - that i can use helpppppppppppp

They are a pain to fit as space is reduced.

Their price seems a little excessive though.

I am sure someone from the forum can recomend someone near to you.

Depends how far you would be willing to go.
Not tooooo far from Croydon........
