what kind of head unit have you got in your car.....and daft tho it maybe you could try putting in an MP3 cd and see.
and unless someone else has a better idea, you could try a scrappers for a written off ML. It may have its luggage cover in. or have the rear glass tinted to stop the prying eyes.

yes the unit is the standard merc sat nav
also do u have any knowledge of ml scraps in the uk?

am not sure of the version as to whether it has the ability of mp3. hopefully someone will have tried it and let us know.
and altho this isnt the most helpful posting. Yellow pages, and look for car dismantlers in your area, give them a ring.
