ML 270 CDI OBD2 Diagnostics?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if an OBD2 faultcode reader will work on my ML270 CDI year 2000? or must I only use a Mercedes Star Diagnostic system?

Funny the ML, some read some dont, whats the problems you have ????

Don't actually have a serious problem, just when anyone gets in or out of the passengers seat the Airbag light comes on and stays on for several minutes.

I was also just reading what you had explained to someone else about the earth strap on the ML, Can I give you a call tomorrow to also get the part number?

I was also going to buy an OBD2 code reader just to help track down any minor problems I might have

Theres a seat pad built into the seat to sence weight of a person, these are common to going down, a new pad needed,

The only code reader that works on the ML270 CDi on a 2000 is on ebay for £185 and is called the EU7. I tried about twenty before getting one that worked despite all sellers claiming theirs did.

few hundred quid more, you could buy a star machine, there nothing better!

I have been using an EU702 on the wife's 2002 ML 270, it also works on my 2000 CLK (although I did need an adaptor). A great bit of kit, even told me when the MAF was gone, brake light switch etc...

Hi & thanks for this I have been waiting for some genuine feed back regarding the above I phoned these guy's (Ireland) a couply of months ago but they could guarantee it would do everything that it says for the ML
