Thanks , because i'm a cheapskate I just used what I had here, spray bottle of BBQ cleaner, WD40, a selection of small wire brushes and a fair bit of elbow grease. was quite satisfyinglooks fantastic.
I was about to say looking at the first pic it needs a clean. what did you use.

Yes, Alternator, water pump, drive belt, top & bottom radiator hoses (which cost £85 !!) and condenser was shot so replaced that as well. came to about £250 all in, not too bad reallyno need to burn money when got the right bits and don't mind doing a bit of work.
did you replace the belt also.
