Many ways to kill this fish, you could take power from the front passenger well 12V socket using wire clamps and route underneath the centre console (no need to remove) then up into the glove box (centre console housing). Tapping into this will mean it is fused, just ensure you dont draw more than 15amps (changing the fuse for a higher fuse not recommended as the wiring will only stand so much current).

The front passenger well cover plate, from memory, comes off with just 2 screws, but it is a tad fidly from memory.

Just to add, the wire coming from the front 12V connector is routed behind the fascia (you can see quite a lot with the panel off) then underneath towards the centre console, then just tucked in at one side (you need something soft and hard to gently lift the side up to start feeding the wire). The centre console bin is just unscrewed and lifts out and youll see the wire you route.

Just to confirm, its 4 screws, two at the back and two at the front to get the passenger well lower fascia plate off (the one which was the 12V socket).
