ML 270cdi Space Saver

Hi All

Ive just bought a ML270cdi 2002 which I think is great. Perfect for putting all the kids in! Only thing I don't like is I have the External spare wheel rack, I didnt realise quite what a pain it would be when trying to put in shopping etc.

I'm looking at taking this off and fitting the space saver and cage which hold it underneath the rear of the car.

Has anyone else done this, if so do you have any advice?

Also, any idea where I could get hold of a spacesaver spare and the cage & fittings? Any recommended spares suppliers/breakers. Im in the Hampshire area.

Have you still got the tailgate spare wheel carrier? I am in the process of fitting an lpg system in my 2000 reg ml320 and it will take all my boot space.
