ml 320 alarm?

hello all
i have a ml320 on a y reg, had it about 3months & has been ok.
the remote key fob has stopped working & will not lock/unlock doors.
have tried new batteries in both keys
have reset fobs
have got no alarm or immobiliser working without remote keys.
car starts & drives
any help out there

thanks for the repies
quick update
found a spare key fob & put the new batteries & all ok for 2 days
went out yesterday for 3 short trips locally none more than 4 miles
would not start after stopping in town on 3 trip
had to wait about 15 mins before it started
new key fob works alarm & imobiliser
any decent mb approved garages in fareham area

cant think 100% which one it is, but your symptoms sound like either aam or eam , replaced many of these with your symptoms, hope this helps

HI THANKS FOR THE INFO, ARE THEY SENSORS OR RELAYS.
I GOT THE KEYS & ALARMS WORKING BUT THE ENGINE JUST DIES SOMETIME & THEN WILL RESTART AFTER 10 MINS OR SO OR WIT A JUMP START

You may have a CPS faulty as alarms do not normally fail like this.

Your battery does not sound too good if you have to jump start

good news i have changed the crank sensor & car is running & starting first time. thank you for all the advice been working away so no internet access so first time back.
