Hello

I have ML 320 2009 model which appears to be pulling to the left.

After checking the tyre pressures i decided to book it in as i also have a squeeky steering wheel:shock:

Anyway just picked it up and they have told the tracking is 100%. When i questioned this the servive manager told me the car was behaving normally and "following the camber in the road". Have any of you guys come accross an issue like this before? I must say following the camber appear a bit far fetched to me, but them i am not a motor mechanic.

Oh yeh the squeeky steering wheel requires a new steering column:shock:

Not overly impressed so far with my first taste of mercedes.

Thanks for any feedback

My ML320CDI is Sept 2006 and I have not had any problems with camber and squeeky sound from the column.

Yeh i dont believe the camber is the problem. I ve checked ot out on a very flat surface such as carpark and it still pulls to the left.:(

How do you argue though when they tell you the tracking is 100%

I,m sure the squeeky steering column is a one off.

And take all your future servicing revenue to a decent dealer as well....

Have to say, whenever i come away from a dealers, be it Merc, BMW or Audi i am always left with a horrible taste in my mouth.

It may just be me but I find all people who work in these types of dealership to be extremely obnoxious. I always get the feeling they feel I shouldn’t be their and that they are looking down their noses at me!!

Anyway it’s booked in for the steering column to be replaced and then after that I’m taking it to a different dealer to see what they say about the tracking.

Cheers

it could be that whatever is causing the column to squeak is causing the pull. unlikely as it seems, ive seen strange things cured by things you wouldnt think could cause a fault!
