ML 320 Petrol stops

My Ml has developed an engine problem, engine stops without warning, all dash lights come on, wont restart, then restarts after indeterminate time. Cant trust it

Hi,
This sounds like it could be your crank shaft position sensor, normally causes the engine to cut out when warm and won,t restart till it has cooled down.
It costs approx. £50 and is easy to fit.
