ML 320 Service Interval Indicator - reset.

Ques, Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reset the Service Interval indicator on my 1999 ML 320 without taking it into a dealership? Is there a tool I could buy or a reset procedure I could follow, or does it require the manufacturers software/pc?
