Dear all,
We currently own a 15 month old ML350 (W163) which we have so far been very happy with.
A few weeks ago, the driver's side mirror had started behaving with the mirror folding past its folded position and hitting the window before finally coming back to its normal position.
Turns out that the resting stop is somehow broken and dealer has informed us that the repair will not be taken care off under warranty.
Their position is such that the only explanation as to why a rest stop will get broken is either because the mirror has been hit or it has been forced.
They actually acknowledged that the mirror has absolutly no sign of having been hit but will still review t their position...
Beside the fact that their warranty people are clearly not yet trained in UK contractual law and that this sort of behaviour is somewhat comparable to bullying, I was wondering whether anyone has come across a similar sort of sitiuation with their ML (or similar design) folding mirror and whether MB actually agreed to the warranty claim.
Many thanks for your help;
Regards,
Luc
