ML 500 Trailer Hitch - Questionable hitch installation.

I purchased new a ML500 on 9/26/01.  The dealer installed a MB trailer hitch.  Hitch looks proper, but the huge "square" hole that was cut into my bumper looks like it was done with a pocket knife, not to mention that the hole is huge.  Looks like a install job that they would do at my local "self-Haul" truck & trailer dealer. Not at all the thoughtfullness of typical Mercedes.  The bumper is loose from the body on the sides of the car as well.  Any helpful comments?  Thanks.  Jaxxunb
