ML electric door mirror?

Hi guys,

Just recently bought a 2000 ML 320, thanks for the help with the space-saver spare it was very much appreciated. :smile:

I’ve noticed that the nearside door mirror doesn’t fold back or manoeuvre for adjustment, I’m assuming that the motor is the problem, is this a relatively easy fix for someone with quite good DIY skills or is it best left to Mercedes?

Some idea of cost will also be a boon.

you need to press the button for that mirror when reversing to this to happen, dont ask why mb do this, uneccesaray hassle

Do you mean that nothing works on that mirror,even with the selector switch pointing to that mirror.

Mioba, that's really strange, I know some cars have the nearside mirror dip automatically when reverse is selected so you can see the kerb but never heard of the quirk you mention, I tried it anyway but to no avail.
