ML Footwell Lights

Guys,

Hope you can help, went out to the car tonight after washing her in the rain, well it was not raining when I started, and noticed that the drivers side footwell light was out, checked the bulb and this is ok when I checked the fitting with my meter no 12 Volts, so no light.
As it was raining I've not had to much of a look but as all the other lights including the drivers door bottom light are working I do not think it is a fuse.

Any help would be very much appriciated.

All I can think of off hand is that if when you turn the inside lights on if the footwell lamps come on, but not the door lamps then the door switch will be a double pole that activates both the door and the footwell, if this is the case then it will be a faulty door switch, if the doors light up with the interior lamps this will not be the case.

Thank you for this, I will have a look later today, the only light not working is the drivers footwell, the door light is ok but I will check the switch just in case, but I think the lights come on when the car is unlocked without the door being opened.

Not had chance to do any serious investigation work today, wife wanted a day out so had some R and R instead.
Had a look around the door but unless I missing a vital part were is the door switch, please dont tell me they have hidden it in the door.

Sorry Mark, that I have not come back, I will find shortly where they are hidden.

In the meantime I have some good torches for sale.

Thanks for this you are a real gem, I do hope that we get the chance to meet one day.
The light not working is nothing in the great picture, but its one of them silly little things that realy gets on your wick.

its a pig to find, I cant see it in the door,lower URL or on the body loom.

It must be operated by 29 in the door and be inside kick panel.

I am still looking.
