ML mirrors

Possibly been covered before but can not find it anywhere.
Can anybody tell me if i can override the automatic lowering function on the nearside mirror of my ML. I would rather be able to see where my trailer is going when reversing than look at puddles. Hope someone can help.

As long as the nearside mirror is not selected on the switch,then it will not dip

Cheers Malcolm your a star, i'll give it a try tommorow. Also another question if i may. Not really sure exactly what the low range switch does but is it advisable to give it a go periodically just to keep things working ?

Low range gears are for off roading, it wouldn't do any harm to switch it on now and again just to keep everything moving, but don't try using it for commuting or you'll be late for work
