Hi,

I have a ML270, 2002 model and I would like to connect a amplifier to the rear door speakers. Does anyone know where the wires run though under the carpet where they are accessable to get a connection for the amplifier.

Thanks.

if I read your question correctly, you want to break into the feed to the rear speakers and insert an amp, this is not as easy as you may think as the signal being fed to the speakers has already been amplified and if you fed this into another amp without lowering the level you will probably overload the new amp and it will cause a lot of distortion ie will sound cr*p.
the proper way to do it is to take a line level output from the head unit (if possible) and then amplified this using the new amp, then feed the output of this new amp to the speakers having already disconnected them from the old amp
hope this makes sense

Thanks for the advice. I plan on by the infinity Baselink T, which has an input for speakers and internal volume control. The Baselink T has a amplifier and speakers built in.
