ML startup problem day 2

yesterday i posted a post wifes ML not starting after being stood for 6 months i fitted a new battery today and also checked the earth strap but am still getting start error when putting the key in ignition and it still makes no attempt to start any help would be appreciated thanks

Sounds like the DAS controller has gone down than Alan, needs any fault codes read now!

What controls the pick up from the key, when you put the key in the das reads the coding from the key and releases the start enable! thats not happening with your by the sound of it!

Sam. I have this same problem I have tried the spare key and the main key but the car blips and could not start. I recharged the battery still no avail please what is the problem. Could nay body help
