ML windscreen not demisting

Morning all,

Took the Mrs's ML out last night and the windscreen would not demist.

Heater seems to be working fine but just not blowing up to the windscreen. I shut all the other vents but still not blowing up. Heat seems ok and it'll blow through the other vents into the car.

Any clues where to start looking?

Did you press the screen demist button? Are you running with the a/c On? When was the cabin air filter last changed?

Hi,

I tried everything I could think of. I had the screen demist running then I tried with the aircon, then just the blowers on full.

Not sure when the cabin air filter was last changed as I've only had the car for three months. It was serviced before I got it, but what was done I really don't konw.

Where is the cabin air filter located? I'll have a look and see if it looks clean.

I've removed the filter and it looks pretty clean.

Having done a bit of a more indepth google search it seems a fairlycommon fault for the ML to have problems with the Vent Actuator either missing teeth and not opening certain vents or for the vents to come loose. Either way, it looks like a dash out to investigate further.

Time to ring my mechanic mate!
