ml250 W166 towbar

any recommendations on supply of bars and vehicle specific electrics, i have found a bar of italian origin for less than 170. which i can fit myself ,but it all seems a bit muddy on some electrics . anyone done this ?

I used to in the 70's, but now with Canbus systems I would leave it to the experts.

if needed i have the star system. so when i work out which? is the correct harness i will get on with it. if it turns out i am incapable at least the bar and electrics will be fitted and i "might" have to go to someone brighter to connect it up. i have fitted at least a dozen over the yrs admittedly,sans can bloxxy bus ! it cant be rocket science ? meantime i aint givin 3/400 quid to fit it all when i have £25k + of tools and equipment in my garage. right now its a matter of working out is it a standard harness and bypass relay or(my preference) and subject to availability a dedicated harness.and from where i might get it at a reasonable cost...if need be and i get the right info i will make the damn harness.

bar fitted . italian . 166 ukp delivered with bypass relay kit. day and a half to do .bumper a B to get off , working out everything that held it on without breaking any benz rubbish plastic , took me 4 hr to fit bar to w208 in 2005 !!!! electric socket fitted ,rest of electric conections to do when i have investigated the matter enough not used bypass relay system before. anyone ?
