I say dropped for want of a better word, collapsed might be better.Whatever supports the front of the window seems to have disappeared. I have had a similar problem years ago on a VW so it looks like I am going to be door stripping tomorrow. Anyone done this?

Thanks, just bookmarked that site half an hour ago. I would like to find out how the glass is supported but I probably will have to strip the door to see what is amiss. Peter.

Thanks Malcolm, without seeing what the problem is what is your best guess? Have you any diagrams of the assembly? Thanks, Peter.

Thanks Malcolm, stripped it down and one of the legs has broken.Spotted one on ebay for £40. Just as a matter of interest what holds the glass in the mechanism,is it just a push fit?

I do believe so, there might be a little adhesive
