ML270 cdi - horn not working etc

2002 ML 270 starting to play up a bit.

The horn only works when the steering wheel is on full lock to the right?

Also, at slow speeds only when wet the abs seems to kick in. (This hasn't happened for a few weeks now but still strange)

Great car though and it only has 49k miles so not run in yet!

Horn - these rust like hell. You have 2, located at either side of the front bumper below the fog light.

ABS - how are your tyres? These cars slide if the ground is wet and you have wide tyres and the tread is too low. ie. if you have 275's and the tread is getting low, they can slide or lose grip. I changed to 255 M+S Pirelli Scorpions after almost losing the car over a crevice!

Tyres are fine about 4 months old. I will check the sizes and also the horns for rust.

Strange the horn works on full lock.?

It must be a clock spring or something like this in the column
