ML270 CDI Speedo display

Hello
Just bought a 2001 ML 270 CDI, and was wondering about the speedo display.
When starting the car the mileage is displayed which then changes to 1 3 5 and then back to the mileage again. Is this normal or is it telling me a code for something wrong?
Thanks for your help guys, I am starting to worry about this now!!

Welcome to the forum I have the same motor as you for 65000 miles but never had the 1 2 3 our any other numbers dont think its anything to worry about someone will know more than me

Thanks for the warm welcome, it does not appear to be running incorrectly its just the display that says 1 3 5 for a short time, I am going on a long run next week and wanted to make sure the car was not going to let me down, when it might have been telling me something was not quite right.

Its showing it due a service maybe?

Service indicators reset to next service mileage so I dont think its that, thanks anyway.
