I seem to have a coolant leak under the centre of the dashborad, a very small leak and coolant is running along the drivers side of the centre consol.

Not sure what I have to do to rectify this but I presume the dash has to come out.

Has anyone elese had the same problem?

Does anyone know if I can just remove the centre part of the dash?

Any Tips will be appreciated.

I will look this up later in the day, could be the heater matrix or a loose pipe going to it

This will be gearbox oil coming from the wiring loom to the gearbox control unit near the parking brake pedal. The leak source is the electrical conector on the gearbox, replace this and the source will be stopped.

I had my gearbox serviced some time back now. The seal was changed.

Its definatley engine coolant as its green and my coolant is green.

Have a look with a torch by the parking brake pedal to be sure.

Where is the drips and staining on the carpet?

There have been several modifications on the gearbox seals so it is possible that it may still be leaking if done some time ago, in any case the oil in the loom can take months to reach the control unit an drip on to the carpet.

The leak is coming from under behind the climate control switches are located. No leak from near the pedals.

I now have some instructions on how to remove the dash, thanks to Malcolm.

I'm going to at some point remove the dash and find out whats going on.

Might need a bit of plumbing. The leak is definalty engine coolant and not gearbox oil.

Ok, must be a heater matrix or pipe problem then, good luck in finding it.

Hi you can remove the glove box and see a fare bit behind the dash board shine a torch in there maybe with one of those mirrors on a stick; you might be able to see something before you remove the dash board

Good idea. Many Thanks

I'm also going to order the speacial keys that remove the COMMAND SAT NAV, I should also be able to see something from there as well because the leak is behind that under the centre.
