Can anybody shed any light on the bank of relays & fuses located under the passenger side footwell/glovebox area of an 05 ML270 manual gearbox model. The relay to the nearest the passenger side door on my car, keeps overheating and blowing. Doesn’t noticeably affect functions that are obvious to me but I would love to know what this serves?? and what it is effecting??

Thank you in advance

You should find which relay you are looking for in this link.

Look for this section. Remember this link is for a LHD car so the fuses are on the opposite side.

Thanks for your reply. I have the relays I’m just try to ascertain what the relays under the glove box relate to. They’re not referenced in the handbook and I can’t find any wiring diagrams showing them. It’s a RHD ML

^ Did you click on the link in Post#3 above?
That should tell you all you need to know about the relay in question.
Go to the section "Fuse and Module Box right front footwell"
That is the location under your RHD glovebox you are looking for.

Thanks for this, I did use the link but it only refers to the fuses and relays under the drivers side footwell not the passengers side. I can’t find a diagram for this anywhere??

Pull the relay & see what's not working.
As stated the relay keeps blowing and it’s not obvious to me what it is linked to. So removing it won’t make any obvious difference. I’m not getting any related codes

If its blowing & its supplying current to a device, then that device will not work.
If you can't find anything thats not working, I would just leave it.

I'm not making myself clear am I?
The link I gave you in Post#3 is for the left hand side footwell in a RHD car.
There are no fuses in the drivers side footwell.
The link is for a LHD car so the fuses are in the passenger footwell which is on the right hand side in a LHD car.
