My facelift ML270CDI with 95000miles appears to have an alternator problem.
The charge light occasionally flickers at town speeds but far more frequently and for periods of a few seconds at motorway speeds. Simultaneously the instrument lighting dims. This has occurred for a few months but is gradually becoming more prevalent. My local specialist has checked the car on two occasions but has been unable to detect any fault codes and confirmed the battery is sound.
Any advice would be much appreciated as this does not instil confidence on long runs.
