Hello to everybody.
I am new to this forum, I recently purchased an 51 plate ML270CDI with the lux pack in silver, 18inch AMG wheels, son loves these, and a Full MB service history.

I have had the car two weeks now and its fantastic.
I have been driving Mercedes cars for over twenty years and love them to bits.
Today I noticed an intermitant fault with the car, on start up the lights ABS, BAS/ESP, ETC, come on and stay on. They do not come on everytime the car is switched on and sometimes they go off after driving off.
Any ideas would be appriciated.
The car was serviced at 60000 miles by a Mercedes specialist in Stoke on Trent last week and they found no problems with her.

I swaped an 06 plate Freelander for the Mercedes, no more LR products on my drive, sent it to Conwy Land Rover for its first service, an oil change and they charged me £304.00.

The Ml has been a dream of mine and as I needed a big car to pull the horse box the ML270CDI was the best choice, should have bought one before I had the LR.
Finaly I think this formu is great, the level of help given is first class and if anybody lives in the North Wales area it would be nice to meet up.

Hi & Welcome,

it sounds very much like the standard brake light switch problem. Change the switch at the top of the brake pedal and you should be good to go. Quite common so pls have a search on the fourm.

Just confirming that it should be just the brake light switch, the cost is under £10 and very easy to fit.
