ML350CDi runs out of fuel at quarter tank

Just wondering if anyone can help, my 2011 ML350CDi runs out of fuel at a quarter tank. I have read it uses a venturi effect to level each side using the return from the common rail. If I have read it correctly I should be looking at the high pressure pump.

Can anyone confirm this??

Yep, insufficent return flow or faulty /logged venturi system was problem older ones...

Thanks for that, is there anything else that could cause insufficient flow. Whilst testing it using live data I did notice the pressure was low at higher revs.
