ML430 Queries

Hi All,
Maybe I can get some answers or advice to 3 questions in one post.

1. Code came up showing Post cat right bank O2 sensor heater problem.
Will this affect performance and economy as the heater only works before 300 deg, C (I think) and this is the diagnostic probe I have been told.

2. After 3 trips to garage, for no AC, the guy put a dye in the system and 2 days later it is showing all over refill valve. MB garage said must replace the whole pipe from inside the car to the dryer at the front, is it not just like a schrader valve which I can unscrew and put a new valve in ?

3. Not ML related, but may be able to buy S reg A160 Avantgarde 5 door 74,000 miles cheap cos it needs a new starter and that is an engine out job ? the guy will scrap it if that the case. Is it worth couple hundred quid ?

Hi there,

The o2 sensor might cause a minor few problems with the ecu on warm up, but when the car is up to temp it isnt required so should effect running at all.

The Valves on the ml are welded as part of the pipe so not replaceable separate.

To do a starter on a a-class requires the engine and gearbox subframe to be lowered 12 inches, so the starter can be replaced from underneath. correct equipment is needed for this.
