Hi everyone - new to this site as only just purchased my C-Class...

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a mobile phone kit fitted into the C-Class that utilises the phone kit buttons etc that are fitted as standard on the C200 CDi (55 plate). I really want to get something that will either be identical to the option that would have been available to the original purchaser of the car (i.e. the adaptor in the arm rest) or an aftermarket kit that will allow me to make calls etc via the speakers and use the key pad on the right of the radio controls to access the phone.

Also want to get front and rear parking sensors fitted - and clearly want a really professional job. Again, any ideas where I might go for this?

I am in the UK by the way...

Thanks everyone - would be really grateful for any suggestions...

Welcome to the forum Bumble, you should give your location for any recommendations for thew parking sensors. It is a bumper off job to do this work.

Find your local car stereo specialist. All towns have one.
They will be able to offer you a range of different sensor kits.
On the phone front, I believe "Parrott" (google them) have released an interface kit for their bluetooth phone kits recently that will allow you to use the wheel buttons.
Unless you have, and continue to have, nokia phones, I'd avoid the nokia bluetooth kits. They can be temperamental with other makes (I've just discovered!).

the "original" MB option for the phone kit would be a fortune to put in now. If put in whilst the car is built, its about £700, to do it afterwards is nearer £2k, according to dealer

The telephone pre-wire which would allow a range of phones to work seamlessly in your car was a £400 option at time of build. Retro fitting this to your car will cost circa £1,000.

The best bet if you want to keep it cheaper and OEM is to look at the Mercedes FSE2 kit which interfaces with the Audio 20 / COMAND. This kit isnt widely known about. If you choose this option then you cannot have the factory ipod kit with it.

Give these guys a call www.star-tech.co.uk They do all my south coast phone installs.
