hey guys,
I just purchased a new S Class. The guy who ordered it could not pay for it so it became available for purchase from the dealer. It came with (option 852),telephone pre-wiring and a hands-free carrier (the frame to stick the mobile phone in) for a nokia 5110,5130,6110,6130 or 6150. Does Mercedes supply hands-free carriers for any newer model phones and if so can they be installed to replace the one I presently have in the car?

David S points to the (2nd) thread above that covers what you need. However, if it is a *new* S class, then the carrier should already have the 6210 adapter on it (and the controller should support the 6210) ...
However, if its about 6 months old, then it will be a 6150 version.

I have been told that the 6310 will be getting a s/w upgrade (to the phone) that will make it work with the 6210 controllers. Neither the 6310 or 6310i currently work - they fit in and charge, but dont integrate)

<The following sentence will make sense once you have read the articles suggested above>

Its easy to upgrade, the controller is under the rear seat, the clip clips on the phone holder, and the filter ends up somewhere in the boot. (you can probably skip the filter)
