A lot of the postings refer to model types such as W210, W211 etc. Is there a list somewhere cross referencing these to the actual cars? I have an 04 E class. What model type is that? W211 I think, as far as I can make out from other postings. Not so important but just curious.

Excellent, thanks for such prompt feedback. That Russian site is incredible!

If I'm reading it correctly my 04 model E320CDI is a W211.266 and my previous model 2000 E240 was a W210.261.

Spot on Brian........as you say, not important (but nice to know :) )

The first few letters of the VIN tend to give it away, but (if you're like me) the VIN tends not to get read ;)
