morning all,

Having trouble with my light again...

I've changed the switch and the light went out for about 20 miles then came on again!

What happens is, if I start the car with my foot off the brake the light stays out untill I touch the breaks. then it comes on. or if I drive more than a few hundered yards.

Now the last time this happend the light would stay out only if I started the car with the foot on the brake.

Would this point to it been some thing other than the switch at fault?

BTW - the ABS works fine

This could be the travel sensor in the brake vacuum box, it is replaceable off the top of my head, and it could fit the bill, I will look it up later

Ahhhh !!!!

Chasing ghosts here I think.

I just checked all the plugs round the servo under the bonnet and found nothing amiss. Now it's back to it's old trick of Lights stay off when starting with foot on brake till I take my foot off.

Thinking I may have a faulty switch maybe...
