[/SIZE]Hi Folks,

I have recently joined this forum and was hoping there could be some advice and help you guys could help me with ...

I've had my CL600 for a couple of months now and after running it as standard I thought there were a couple of changes I could make to help the car fit my driving style.

Firstly, I've had the ECU remapped and the limiter removed (and notified the various requisite companies!) which has made the car far more responsive from 2,500 rpm right through to the rev limit and the 'kick down' seems to have a little more 'zip' to it too.

But what I'd like to do now is improve both the oil and air breather systems on the car. Does any1 have any experience on this? ... upgraded oil pump, oil and air breather systems etc?

Secondly, I'd like to adjust the handling a little. I'm going to keep the same wheel size, and width but was wondering about dropping the profile slightly and also adjusting the springs and dampers. Is there any advice how I can adjust the suspension while still maintaining the characteristics of the ABC system to it's fullest?

Sorry to be a newbie and immediately pester you guys, but I hope you can help me out

Thanks

Andy

By-the-way ... The CL600 just 'has' to be the best 'bang for your buck' car on the second hand market!

No one over here does these mods. the only mod that you can do to the suspension is to Find a garage with a Star diagnosis to set the height of the car.

Hi,

It's not eally a question of me wanting to 'tune' the car, it's more a case of getting it to suit my style of driving and make the car more responsive.

I don't actually wish to lower the car at all, just stiffen the load bareing side of things and reduce the lateral movement when cornering.

I'm lucky enough to have a rather good friend that works for Superchips and took the car to them so they could do a 'live' remapping whilst it was on the rolling road and while they were networked to some chaps with high foreheads in Germany.

the ABC system lowers the car while you drive, the only mod that can be done on this is to have it lowered to that setting at slow speeds. it needs to be done at a dealer where they have the correct measureing kit as they need to check the hieghts externally whilst adjusting the system chip.

contact a few dealers who have the gear or contact AMG in Germany, they can adjust it for a price. I have watched a guy sort out a CL65 and to level it they put the car in `rodeo` mode and it ups and downs for 5mins while it sorts its presures out. quite amusing.

Kleeman UK can do wonders with the CL600 if you contact them, easily getting 680BHP for you if thats what you want.
