MoT Number Plates

I thought I saw something the other day suggesting the suppliers postcode needs to be on a set of number plates or it would fail. Can this be right?

At my last service, the garage - to which I will not be returning :twisted: - put new plates on the car with their name (but nothing else) on the car. Surely I'm not going to have to fork out for new plates in August?

Television said some time ago that this is on hold for MOT at the moment. You will not fall with no post code.
